5A Team Newsletter
*If you have not signed up for 5A text message reminders, please send the text “@phis5a” to the number “81010”
*If there is a change in how your student will be getting home, please contact the office directly, not the student’s homeroom teacher. Any other time sensitive information should go through the office directly as well.
*A daily email is sent with the assignments and homework from each teacher. The information is similar to what the students will write in their planners daily.
*Sending progress reports is how we will be communicating with you about missing assignments, so that your student can get them turned in before quarter grades are final.We email them every couple of weeks to keep you updated on your student’s current grades. If you see a grade that you are concerned about, you can access the Parent Portal at any time to see specific assignments that are missing and bringing down their grade. If you are not signed up to receive emails or for Parent Portal please contact Central Office. Being signed up for these things, is an essential part of our communication and ensuring the success of our students.

Study Groups:
Math Study Group with Mrs. Griffith will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning starting in September. Students do not have to sign up ahead of time to attend. They can arrive as early 7:25am and can come down to the classroom anytime after that as well. During this time, students can work on makeup work, and redo assignments with Mrs. Griffith for makeup points and retake tests. Assignments redone at home will not be given makeup points, the problems must be redone at school.
Book Club - Mrs. Williamson will also be hosting a book club for Intermediate School students. More information will be given concerning this group later.
After first quarter midterm grades are sent out, Ms. Ludlam will be offering tutoring after school Tuesdays and Thursdays in any subject.
